Merger with Newcastle Building Society

On 1 July 2023, Manchester Building Society successfully merged with Newcastle Building Society. An announcement about the completed merger can be found here.

Manchester Building Society is now part of a purpose-powered, bigger stronger Group with an ambitious strategy for the future. It is intended that the Manchester Building Society name will be retained, along with a base in Manchester. In the months ahead, we will be exploring how we might invest in the business and build on the 100-year history of Manchester Building Society.
